I have always had a fascination with nature and a desire to use pencils, crayons, or paints to reproduce the colors and shapes I see when I look at the world. I don’t claim to be over endowed with creativity. I just love attempting to copy God’s creations. My Fine Arts education ended with Middle School by choice. There, I also found excitement with “hands on” Industrial Arts, Metal and Wood Shops, Vocational Drafting, Ceramics, Block Printing, and Silk Screening. I’ve worked as a draftsman and even taught drafting part time. Curiosity led me to an Engineering degree and a Career in Industrial Maintenance and Management. Now retired, I simply can’t escape the desire to paint the birds, flowers, people, and scenes I see on my journey through life. It’s much more gratifying than simply taking a picture even though I do use pictures to capture moments when traveling and use them in my works.
